About the HPU

The Oxford Brookes Human Performance Unit

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. Mark Twain

The Oxford Brookes Human Performance Unit (OBHPU) has been established to assess, quantify and improve human performance and health in both athletes and the general population.

The assessments performed by the OBHPU measure key physiological parameters that define and characterize human performance during exercise.

These parameters are then used to develop an individualized programme aimed at optimizing exercise performance and health.
